  • PROCESSING FEES are not included ($4-$8 average).
  • Entry is non-transferable and non-refundable.
  • Race entry may be switched to another race distance for a $10 admin fee and any difference in fees if moving up in distance. Please email registration@thewoodlandsmarathon.com if you would like to switch races. 

Note:  We may take registrations at the Health and Fitness Expo.

MARATHON RELAY INFORMATION

The Woodlands Marathon is pleased to host the 8th Annual Marathon Relay. Two (2) – person and four (4) – person teams are invited to run the marathon course with specific exchange points along the racecourse. Friends, family and spectators will be able to cheer these same participants across the Fidelity Investments The Woodlands Marathon and the Houston Methodist The Woodlands Half Marathon finish line. The event will start and finish on Lake Robbins Drive and finish on The Woodlands Waterway in front of cheering spectators.

CORRAL CLOSURE TIMES

  • Corral A (marathon/relay): 6:45am
  • Corral B (marathon/relay): 7:00am
  • Corral C (half marathon): 6:45am
  • Corral D (half marathon): 7:00am

NOTE: IF YOUR CORRAL (i.e. A & C) closes at 6:45 you will move to the B & D corrals after this time. Runners will not be able to move up to run with their friends, family members, etc. They must move back B to E to run with friends, family members, etc if those members are assigned to those corrals.

Elite Athletes will be directed to the starting line. Athletes must be in their designated corrals in order to proceed to the starting line.  THE START LINE WILL CLOSE 5 MINUTES after the mass of runners has begun their race.

Each member will be responsible for his or her transportation to the exchange points along the course.

TIMING CHIP INFORMATION

One member of the team will also receive a Velcro strap with your team number on it. The strap is to be transferred from one participant to the next at the relay exchange points and will be used to track the team’s cumulative time. If you an issue with your strap on race morning, please visit the Race Information Tent at the front of Town Green Park.

EXCHANGE POINTS

  • Race Site Shuttle Location – Located at the front of Town Green Park and HEB Market Street.
  • Exchange Point A (mile 6.5) – Located on Tanglebrush Drive, at mile 6.5 next to water stop area.   Recommended parking is on Yewleaf Drive and walk to exchange point.
  • Shuttle Location A (mile 6.5) – Located on Tanglebrush Drive at Water Stop D.
  • Exchange Point B (mile 13.1) – Located on Branch Crossing just past the 12.5 water stop on the north side of Star Ridge Circle and Branch Crossing.
    Recommended parking is on Star Ridge or Frontera Circle.
  • Shuttle Location B (mile 13.1) – Located on Branch Crossing Drive & Star Ridge Circle and the half marathon mark of the marathon course.
  • Exchange Point C (mile 19.65) – Located on Kuykendahl Drive between Lake Woodlands and Research Forest Drive at the bridge. Recommended parking is at St Anthony Padua Church. Walk about a half mile south on Kuykendahl to exchange point.
  • Shuttle Location C (mile 19.65) – Located on Kuykendahl Drive between Lake Woodlands and Research Forest Drive at the bridge.

IMPORTANT Transportation From Exchange Points

Each member will be responsible for his or her transportation to the exchange points along the course.
The Woodlands Marathon Management will not be responsible for transporting runners to the exchange points except C where runners can elect to take shuttle or their own transportation. The Woodlands Marathon Management will transport runners from the exchange points back to the race site (Town Green Park and HEB Market Street). Teams are not required to check in together prior to the race. Shuttle vans will begin running at 7:30am and we expect them to depart every 20-25 minutes.  Please arrive with enough time to park and make your way to the exchange point.

Team Member Emergency

There will be ambulance and bike EMS teams providing medical support along the course. Runners will have access to medical support at each Aid Station adjacent to the water stop along the course, as well as the finish line. If an emergency with one of your team members arises, we will do the best we can to notify the existing members of a withdraw or emergency situation.

Finisher Medals

Each team’s final runner will receive a medal as he or she crosses the finish line. The Finish line medal attendants will be available to help other team members obtain their medals. Once the Relay is complete, medals will be released to other members.

Joining your team member at the finish line

The Woodlands Marathon Management will not be held responsible for runners being back to the finish line to meet their team members for run in. Each team should come up with a unique location to meet up after the finish. There are several locations to choose from. The Amegy Bank Results Zone, the Beer Garden, Front of Town Green Park, or the Food & Beverage Tents, the back of the Marriott. Please discuss a meeting location with your team members before race day to make sure everyone is in agreement on the location. Relay Team Members may run in together. They will need to stay single file and wait until they are upon the finish line before coming together. Please respect the individual runners on the course.

AWARDS:

The Woodlands Marathon will recognize the following place finishers during the awards ceremony during the Post Race Finish Festival.

  • Open
  • Coed
  • Masters (40+)
  • Grand Masters (50+)

AWARDS WILL NOT BE MAILED – The Awards Ceremony has been scheduled well in advance and in order to collect your award a runner must attend the ceremony or have someone pick it up at the Awards Ceremony. NO EXCEPTIONS

VILLASPORT BAG DROP/GEAR CHECK

Athletes will have an opportunity to drop their pre-race and post-race belongings at the bag drop/gear check. Athletes will reclaim their belongings at the post-race zone.
